Resort Review | Phi Phi Island Village Beach Resort | Thailand
Ever wondered what it would be like to land ashore at a beautiful resort via speed boat? Well wonder no more at the Phi Phi Island Village Beach Resort where arriving in style takes on a whole new (for me) meaning. In fact, the only way to reach the Phi Phi Island Village Beach Resort is by boat. Below, I'm breaking down what my experience was like staying in southern Thailand. The rest of my Phi Phi Island adventures can be found here.
The grounds
Hands down, the grounds and layout of this resort are 10/10. In addition to the lovely villas, you’ll also find two pools (one with a swim up bar), a spa, a gym, a diving center and three restaurants. My favorite part of the grounds would be the easy beach access, where I laid comfortably every day.
The room
The room was the best part of staying at the Phi Phi Island Village Beach Resort. The rooms are actually little huts (or villas), of varying sizes, each with their own outdoor balcony. The accommodations are a nice mix of rustic and modern, with traditional Thai architecture. There was nothing showy or fancy about the inside, but I kind of liked it that way. The beds were comfortable, and the towels were nice. There’s not much more you can ask for here.
The food
I was quite impressed with the plethora of dining options here. On site, there are three restaurants and one coffee shop. Each restaurant offers various dishes that range from more Western options to true Thai cuisine.
The Ruan Thai – meaning Thai style house – is a multi-tiered restaurant which reflects the architecture of the Ayudhya kingdom which displays rich Thai culture. This is by far the nicest restaurant offering onsite, and worth it just based on the views alone, as it sits high on the hill top overlooking the resort and Andaman Sea.
The service
The service was also very good, with all of my basic needs being met. The restaurant service was a bit slow on some evenings, but I chalk that up to the slow paradise life. It’s not like we were in a hurry either!
Overall, I would highly recommend staying at the Phi Phi Island Village Beach Resort, where you are sure to feel relaxed and rejuvenated.
